In the summer water plays the most important role on Fehmarn. The island is a true paradise for surfers and kiters. Its roomy beaches are perfect for swimming and hanging out.
The biggest town on Fehmarn is Burg – here you can find many stores, restaurants and bars. Outside of Burg there are many individual little cafés and shops waiting to be discovered. You will be delighted about the decorative frame houses and well-kept gardens.
Also there are various trips and tours on Fehmarn to discover Fehmarn. For example the Way of St. James leads directly across the island and goes past our campground. Denmark can be easily discovered via ferryboat which leaves at Puttgarden (in the north of the island).
